Paratrooper Tactical Bike

The Paratrooper foldable mountain bike by Montague provides an innovative solution for the infantry moves when mechanized vehicle are not available.

Montague developed this bike in partnership with the US Marines under a grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

The resulting design allows airborne soldiers to drop into combat with all-terrain transportation that uses no fuel, has no thermal or acoustic signature, and provides off-body load bearings capabilities.

The Paratrooper is a high level of maneuverability and can compact to a portable size in less than 30 seconds.

Montague’s bike can be easily repaired in the field, require little to no logistics support, and are low cost to implement.
