Draken Disruptor

Alford’s Draken system is a general-purpose barrelled water disruptor for carrying out render safe procedures against IEDs in containers such as parcels, brief cases, or for component disruption of power sources and switches.

This disruptor has been specifically designed for use in theatres of external operations where the supply of standard propellant cartridges can be problematic (transportation, storage). For its operation, it uses a 12-gauge cartridge case to be loaded by the operator with propellant powder recovered on site (e.g. that of double-base solid propellant ammunition) and a standard electric igniter.

The Draken is manufactured in accordance with Alford’s ISO 9001 quality management system. It is also designed with stainless steel components that do not require regular or special maintenance.
